Patrick shined the light up and down the length of the stream and watched the light bend as it went beneath the surface at some points and reflect on the stones.

Something took a swipe at his leg.

Patrick yelped and whirled.

There was nothing there but something had scratched at his pants leg. There was as a stinky smell there as well. He shined the light around looking for the culprit.

Nothing.

There were some mumblings from some of the other tents. His yelp had been louder than he thought.

“Hey, you played with yourself too hard there, buddy.”

“Awright, knock it off, you guys.”

A cry came back from a tent, “Shuddup. We’ve got a long drive back in the morning.”
