And his flashlight was one of the expensive Halogen ones that could blind them, too!

The moaning sound approached the foot of his sleeping bag in the darkness.

Something yanked on his sleeping bag.

Patrick snapped the flashlight on and piercing, white beam illuminated the night. He winced at the sudden loss of his night sight.

The beam illuminated the camping area. The silhouettes of other tents were displayed further down the slope but there was nothing creepy or cougar outside the Baker tent.

Danny groaned in his sleep. He covered his head with the folds of his sleeping bag and sank into the bag like a caterpillar into a cocoon.
